I made this yesterday! The family loved it. I had it with my coffee this morning too. Moist, rich, great flavor. Definitely a keeper.
Ingredients:
For the crumb topping:
- � cup all-purpose flour
- � cup unsalted butter, cold
- � cup light brown sugar
- � teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
For the cake:
- 1� cups flour
- � teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- � teaspoon nutmeg
- � teaspoon salt
- ? cup vegetable oil
- � cups granulated sugar
- � cup brown sugar
- 1 whole egg
- 1 egg white
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 large apple, peeled and diced into small chunks
- � cup chopped walnuts
Warm Vanilla Glaze:
- 1� Tablespoons butter, melted
- 1� Tablespoons brown sugar
- 1� Tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1� Tablespoons milk
- � teaspoon vanilla
- � cup powdered sugar
