Ingredients
- 3 tsp olive oil, divided
- 1 large yellow onion, cut in half through the root, and thinly sliced
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- 2 cups (packed) fresh spinach leaves
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- ¾ cup 2% milk
- ⅔ cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 oz. crumbled myzithra (or feta) cheese
- Butter and flour for pan
I make something very similar with black olives instead of onion… this is a great bread and fabulous with soups….delicious looks perfect and ready for the table!! this wouldnt last long here at all
